Senator MICHAEL McDowell, former Justice Minister, criticized the policies in relation to the intended lockdown for Dublin. He called out the lack of debate on them, describing them as cruel and damaging as well as not supported by science. He said that neither NPHET nor HSE deserve respect.He pointed out long overdue need to increase the ICU capacity in the country and a disturbing prospect of restaurant employees while their workplaces may be potentially closed down.
Senator also demanded for the policies pertaining to the crisis of the COVID19 pandemic to be properly debated in the House of Senate.
